Indigenous Doctors lead groundbreaking program to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Specialist Trainees

Source: A new program aimed at the increasing number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors interested in undertaking non-GP specialist medical training, has secured funding in a first for the Australian medical workforce.

This will see Indigenous non-GP medical specialists in Australia supported through a unique specialist trainee network, as well as a range of other initiatives with the aim to provide ongoing, tailored and culturally appropriate support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trainees.
