The inaugural Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Thoracic Radiology brings radiologists with an interest in cardiothoracic imaging together in Melbourne for a day and a half of high-quality education — a first for the subspecialty in this region.

With the National Lung Cancer Screening Program having commenced in July 2025, the programme explores the evolving screening landscape, including practical implementation, clinical challenges, quality assurance and the expanding role of artificial intelligence in screening and thoracic imaging.

Professor Kim Sandler, Director of the Vanderbilt Lung Screening Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a member of the Lung-RADS Committee, joins as international keynote speaker. The organising committee is Professor Samantha Ellis, A/Prof Hannah Rouse and Dr Mark McCusker.
